About Artist
Helen Farthing
I have studied tonal realism for many years, initially with David Moore, then with Barbara McCallum for 18 years, and more recently with Fiona Bilbrough.
I have received minor prizes and Highly Commended awards in local art shows around Melbourne. In April
2005 I was a finalist in the Sulman Prize in Sydney, and, as a result, I had the honour of my entry hanging for two months in the Art Gallery of NSW at the same time as the Archibald and Wynne prize finalists.
My paintings have also been hung in the AME Bale Competition in Melbourne.
All my works are executed in oils.
